Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from Sept. 19 to Sept. 25. The times are indicated in as Military Time, a concise form in which midnight is indicated as 0000 and noon as 1200. The list also includes the case number.
Sept. 19
Grand Theft, 8400 block Santa Monica Blvd. @ 12:01 am. A cell phone was taken after it was accidently left at a checkout stand by a customer. Loss $960. #05558
Sept. 20
Vehicle Burglary – Attempt (two suspects arrested). 8700 block Ashcroft Avenue @ 1:30 am. A resident saw his car being broken into and called West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station. Deputies responded, located, and arrested a man and woman. #05579
Vehicle Burglary. Fountain Avenue/Vista Street, @ 5:10 pm – 5:35 pm. The rear driver’s side window was smashed and a laptop and two medical bags were taken from the back seat. Loss $1,000. #05591
Sept. 21
Robbery – Strong Arm. 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 12:40 am. The victim was inside the location when he was shoved to the ground by two men. The suspects punched the victim several times and took his wallet and cell phone before leaving the area on foot. #05602
Sept. 22
Residential Burglary (Suspect Arrested). 8500 block Holloway Drive @ 5:29 am. A man used force on the front door to gain entrance. The homeowner was home and heard banging on the door and called West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect. Loss $1,000 (door). #05618
Residential Burglary. 500 block Huntley Drive @ 12:40 pm – 1:20 pm. The suspect smashed a rear sliding glass door to gain entry and removed a passport and $10,000 in cash from the bedroom. Loss $11,000. #05624
Robbery – Strong Arm (Suspect Arrested. 600 block Robertson Boulevard @ 3:20 pm. A homeless man removed a check holder from a table and walked outside. When confronted by an employee, the man pushed the employee in an attempt to get away. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect. #05628
Sept. 23
Aggravated Assault – Hands, Fist, Feet. 1000 block Palm Avenue @ 9:30 am. A man slammed a woman’s head into a door frame during an argument about a broken cell phone. #05645
Sept. 24
Other Burglary – Suspect Arrested. 8500 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 3:03 am. A man was arrested after he was found inside the location by deputies responding to a burglary alarm. #05668
Grand Theft. 1200 block Hayvenhurst Drive @ 6:30 pm – 12:30 am. An electric bicycle was taken from the subterranean parking garage. The bike was chained to a bike rack. Loss $1,300. #05704
Sept. 25
Aggravated Assault – Hands, Fist, Feet. 1200 block N. Laurel Avenue. @ 1:20 am. The woman punched another woman after exiting a shared Uber ride because she believed the suspect was laughing at her. The suspect and another female adult exited the vehicle and began punching and kicking the victim. Both suspects fled the area on foot. #05686
Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested). 600 block Robertson Boulevard @ 1:53 am. A man hit another man with a glass cup after the victim declined the suspect’s romantic advance. #05688
Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested). 8600 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 12:10 pm. A homeless man struck another homeless man with an umbrella during an argument. #05703
Residential Burglary (Attempt). 900 block Larrabee Street @ 1:00 am – 7:30 am. The homeowner found a credit card inserted into the front door lock of her residence. The card was inserted in a manner consistent with attempting to make unauthorized entry into a residence. No loss. #80015
I question the Sept. 21st robbery, 8800 block Santa Monica Bl. 8800 is the secured MTA Operating Division which extends the entire block to the LASD Station. Not much on the north side of the street except the car wash and hamburger stand.
