$8,970 in Goods Stolen from WeHo Cars Last Week

Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from Oct. 3 to Oct. 9. The times are indicated in as Military Time, a concise form in which midnight is indicated as 0000 and noon as 1200. The list also includes the case number.

Oct. 3

Strong Arm Robbery. 600 block Robertson Boulevard @ 12 a.m. A man was walking on the sidewalk when he was surrounded by three men and two women. One of the suspects hit the victim on the back of the head and took his cell phone, watch and $300 cash. The victim waited until the next day to report the incident. Loss $11,000 ($10,000 watch). #05880

Oct. 4

Grand Theft. 9000 block Beverly Boulevard @ 5:30 p.m. A purse was taken from a shopping cart while the victim was at the deli counter. Loss $1,000. #05920

Oct. 5

Vehicle Burglary. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 7:20 p.m. The rear driver’s side window was smashed and a leather bag, tablet computer, and sunglasses were taken from the front seat. Loss $3,400. #05923

Vehicle Burglary. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 7:33 to 9:20 p.m. The rear driver’s side window was smashed and a laptop, voice recorder, camera, camera lens, and battery were taken from the back seat. Loss $5,000. #05924

Oct. 6

Grand Theft (Attempt). 500 block La Cienega Boulevard @ 11:07 a.m. A man removed a rug and attempted to leave the store. When confronted by an employee, the suspect dropped the rug and ran to a nearby vehicle. No loss. #05930

Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested). 1200 block La Brea Avenue @ 9:58 a.m. A homeless man was inside of the building lobby without permission and was asked to leave by an employee. The suspect became upset and approached the employee in a threatening manner. The suspect used force to take the employee’s cell phone from his hand and then walked away. Deputies responded, located, and arrested the suspect. The phone was recovered. #05929

Vehicle Burglary. Poinsettia Place / Fountain Avenue between 7 p.m. and midnight. The interior was ransacked and a pair of barber scissors and a paddle racket were taken from the center console. No sign of forced entry. Loss $250. #05983

Oct. 7

Aggravated Assault – Knife (Suspect Arrested). 8300 block Sunset Boulevard @ 8:40 p.m. A homeless man was asked to leave the location after complaints from customers. The suspect became upset, removed a pocket knife and waved it an employee in a threatening manner. The suspect left the area and was arrested by responding deputies. #05974

Strong Arm Robbery. 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 1:30 a.m. The victim was walking eastbound on Santa Monica when two adult men approached him. The victim was forced into some nearby bushes and his cell phone was taken from his back pocket. Loss $600. #05954

Oct. 8

Vehicle Burglary. 900 block North Ogden Drive between 1 a.m. and 5 p.m. The rear passenger’s side window was smashed and a folding knife was taken from the center console. Loss $320. #06004
