The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station and the City of West Hollywood are soliciting donations for their 26th annual Holiday Toy and Food Drive.
“It’s not a big operations, and we keep it really simple,” Bonnie Smith, the city’s public safety supervisor, said in a letter about the event. “Cash donations buy food for the families we work with and help to fulfill their wish lists. We know that the economy has been rough on a growing number of families and we will continue to help as many as the donations allow.”
Donations can be sent by check payable to the City of West Hollywood (100% of all donations go to provide food and toys). The checks should be sent to City of West Hollywood, 8300 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069, ATTN: Bonnie Smith. The city’s federal tax ID number is 95-3946635.
A donation of $175 would cover holiday dinners for three families and two toys per child in each family. A $300 donation would provide holiday dinners for five families and two toys per child in each family. A donation of $400 would cover the cost of holiday dinners for seven families and two toys per child in each family. And a donation of $575 would cover holiday dinners for ten families and two toys per child in each family.
