$13,500 in Thefts from Cars Reported in WeHo Last Week

Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from Nov. 21 to Nov. 27. The times are indicated in as Military Time, a concise form in which midnight is indicated as 0000 and noon as 1200. The list also includes the case number.

Nov. 21

Residential Burglary. 600 block North Croft Avenue between 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. The rear door was pried open and the bedroom and home office were ransacked. Loss $1,800 (door). #06995

Strong Arm Robbery. 1000 block Vista Street @ 6 p.m. A man removed a can of beer from the refrigerator and attempted to leave the store. When confronted by an employee, the man punched the employee in the stomach and fled the area on foot. Loss $3. #06994

CrimeVehicle Burglary. 8900 block Rosewood between 1:45 and 2:24 p.m. The rear window was smashed and a backpack and calculator were taken from the back seat. Loss $250. #06988

Nov. 22

Grand Theft – Bicycle/ 1200 block La Brea Avenue between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. The lock was cut and a bicycle was taken from the bike rack. Loss $2,000. #07015

Grand Theft – Unlocked Vehicle. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard between Nov. 22 and Nov. 24. Four pairs of sunglasses were taken from the glove box and a change purse was taken from the center console of the unlocked vehicle. Loss $1,000. #07051

Nov. 24

Vehicle Burglary. 1000 block North Curson Avenue between 10 p.m. and 11 a.m. The front passenger’s side front window was smashed and a briefcase and $3,000 in cash was taken from the interior. Loss $3,500. #07063

Vehicle Burglary. Hilldale Avenue / Santa Monica Boulevard between 11:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. A backpack, purse, and laptop were taken from the front floorboard area. No sign of forced entry. Loss $3,000. #07064

Nov. 25

Aggravated Assault – Knife (Suspect Arrested). 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 2:45 a.m. A man cut another man with a box cutter during an argument. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect in a nearby alley. #07057

Vehicle Burglary. 7500 block Norton Avenue between 1:45 a.m. and 10:49 p.m. The front passenger’s side window was smashed and an iPad Touch was taken from the glove box. Loss $300. #07070

Vehicle Burglary. 7500 block Norton Avenue between 1:45 a.m. and 10:49 p.m. The rear passenger’s side window was smashed and sunglasses, makeup, clothing, and an iPad Touch were taken from the glove box, center console, and trunk. Loss $800. #07071

Nov. 26

Vehicle Burglary. 7800 block Santa Monica Boulevard. between 7:59 and 8:10 p.m. The rear driver’s side window was smashed and a laptop, wallet, handbag and jewelry were taken from the rear passenger seat. Loss $4,200. #07084
