Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Sunset Boulevard

An Aston Martin hit a motorcyclist on Sunset Boulevard at North Alta Loma Road in West Hollywood just before 9:30 a.m. this morning. Los Angeles County firefighters and West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene to treat the motorcyclist and investigate the accident. The motorcyclist was transported in serious condition to a local area hospital.

I live at that intersection as well and I agree with Mike, there is ALWAYS high-end sports cars and motorcycles screaming down Sunset like it’s a speedway. WH should definitely set up speed traps. Parking enforcement come around every 2 seconds…where are the cops monitoring traffic and speed?

I live on Fountain at Harper and I echo Mike’s comment above. Several times a week someone in a sports car decides to accelerate to supersonic speeds around Sweetzer Ave heading east towards Crescent Heights. Knowing the potential consequences the sound is actually chilling. At least 3 cars heading east on Fountain run that light every time the light changes–I’ve seen it for years as I take my walk. I mentioned it to a patrol car one day who was stopped on Sweetzer, and he looked at me like I was crazy and shrugged his shoulders. Thanks a lot WeHo… Read more »

I live just below Sunset near Doheny. I can’t count the number of times I see/hear idiots in high-end sports cars driving way above the speed limit. West Hollywood should seriously think about posting cops at certain intersections and nailing the DB’s. It isn’t just cars, though but motorcycles as well.
