APLA Health will be back at The Abbey on Feb. 26 with “The Envelope Please,” its annual Oscar viewing party fundraiser.
The event, now in its 16th year, raises money for the health care and HIV prevention services as well as HIV support services that APLA Health provides more than 14,000 people every year.
Tickets, on sale now, are $500 for a gold ticket and $1,000 for a platinum ticket and can be purchased online. They include cocktails and champagne an a formal dinner. All but $100 of the purchase price is tax deductible as a charitable donation. The event begins at 4 p.m. with cocktails and dinner is served at 5 p.m. as the Academy Awards presentation is televised.
The black tie event will feature Pauley Perrette as host. According to APLA Health, the event has raised nearly $2 million over the years.
“As one of our signature events, The Envelope Please is not only a lot of fun, but also raises funds that will literally help keep people alive,” said APLA Health Chief Executive Officer Craig Thompson. “With an uncertain future for health care access and our continued commitment to ensuring underserved communities are able to get the care and support they need, we are thankful for the support of those who join us on this special night.”
