WeHo Solicits Nominations for Public Safety Awards

The City of West Hollywood is soliciting nominations for its annual Public Safety Awards. The Public Safety Awards are an opportunity to recognize individuals, group, and businesses that have made significant efforts towards enhancing public safety in West Hollywood.

— Outstanding Contribution to Public Safety — Individual; and

— Outstanding Contribution to Public Safety — Business or Organization.

Eligible awards nominees include people who have made extraordinary efforts to volunteer for public safety programs or events or have organized community-watch group. Also eligible are people who have made efforts at strengthening law enforcement and community partnerships or have dedicated many hours of service to the Sheriff’s Department or Fire Department. And those who have demonstrated leadership in any variety of ways that have contributed to a safer community are available

Nominations must be submitted by April 19. A nomination form is available as a downloadable file and is posted on the city’s website. A copy of the form also may be requested by calling (323) 848-6831.

Forms may be returned by mail to: West Hollywood City Hall / Public Safety Department 8300 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069 Forms may be faxed to (323) 848-6498 or may be submitted by email to lcampbell@weho.org.

The Public Safety Awards ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. on May 17 at the City Council Chamber, 625 N. San Vicente Blvd., south of Santa Monica. The awards event will include will include dessert and music. Admission is free; no RSVP is required. Validated parking will be provided in the adjacent five-story structure, accessible from San Vicente Boulevard.
