Three Arrested for Stealing Eight Cell Phones at The Abbey

Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from April 10 to 16. The list also includes each case number.

April 10

Nothing significant to report.

April 11

Armed Robbery. Romaine Street / Laurel Avenue at 11:45 p.m. A woman was walking her dog northbound on Laurel Avenue when a man approached her armed with a handgun and demanded her property. The victim complied. Loss $30 (Purse). #01874

Armed Robbery. Romaine Street / Gardner Street at 11:50 pm. A man was riding his bicycle southbound on Gardner Street when two men approached him armed with a handgun and demanded his property. The victim complied and dropped the bike. The bike was taken by the suspects but recovered a short time later by responding deputies. No loss. #01876

Vehicle Burglary. 1100 block Greenacre Avenue Between 9:30 p.m. and 1:47 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a leather bag containing a gold necklace and cosmetics from the front seat. Loss $530. #01877

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested). 1000 block North Vista Street at 12:15 a.m. A man hit his roommate in the back with a hammer during an argument inside of their residence. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect. #01876

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested). 1100 block Vista Street at 11:10 am. A man hit another man in the back with a broom handle during an argument. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect. #01884

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested). 1200 block La Brea Avenue at 3:36 p.m. A male homeless man threw a can of Red Bull at an employee during an altercation. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect. #01889

Other Burglary. 1000 block Crescent Heights Boulevard at 5:30 a.m. An unknown suspect removed mail from resident mail boxes. #01890

Strong Arm Robbery. 7900 block Fountain Avenue at 12:35 a.m. A man approached an employee and asked her for money. The suspect was asked to leave the store, but he pushed the victim away from the counter area, took $40 cash from the counter and then fled the area on foot. Loss $40. #01886

April 13

Grand Theft. 600 block Kings Road between 9 p.m. and 9:10 a.m. An unknown suspect removed all four tires and wheels from two vehicles that were parked in the sub garage. Loss $11,000. #01915

Vehicle Burglary, 8700 block Beverly Boulevard. at 1:30 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and removed a leather handbag and leather jacket from the trunk. Loss $3,200. #01899

April 14

Grand Theft. 9200 block Sunset Boulevard from 11 p.m. to noon. An unknown suspect removed a leather jacket and tote bag that were left momentarily unattended. Loss $1,300. #01944

April 15

Aggravated Assault – Knife. 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 2 and 3 a.m. A man walking on the sidewalk became involved in a fight and was cut with an unknown object during the fight. The victim was intoxicated and uncooperative. #01931

Grand Theft. 600 block Robertson Boulevard (Suspects Arrested) between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. A woman and two men were arrested for stealing cell phones from patrons of The Abbey. Deputies responded and arrested the suspects. Eight cell phones and a purse were recovered. #01952

Vehicle Burglary. 1200 block La Brea Avenue between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and removed a purse containing a wallet from the rear driver’s side storage area. Loss $400. #01941

Vehicle Burglary, 8400 block Sunset Boulevard between 9 and 11 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front driver’s side window and removed a purse from the front floorboard area. Loss $500. #01949

April 16

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon. Vista Street / Santa Monica Boulevard at 10:26 p.m. Three men pointed and waved wooden sticks at the three victims during an altercation outside of the store. #01971
