May 1
Aggravated Assault – Knife (Suspect Arrested). 7700 block Fountain Avenue at 9:30 a.m. A man pointed a knife and lunged at his friend during an argument. The victim suffered a small cut on his forearm. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect. #02223
Grand Theft. 600 block San Vicente Boulevard between 8 and 9:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a backpack containing a cell phone, head phones, and clothing from the ground while the victim played basketball. Loss $1,350. #02230

Grand Theft. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard between noon and 3 p.m. An unknown suspect removed an iPad Mini and a set of car keys from an employee break room. Loss $1,000. #02255
Grand Theft. 7800 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 6:40 p.m. A man took a bicycle for a test ride and did not return. Loss $1,800. #02257
Grand Theft. 8800 block Melrose Avenue between 4 and 4:30 p.m. A man removed a jacket and sweatshirt from a display area and left the store without payment. Loss $2,500. #02304
Residential Burglary (3 Incidents). 500 block Westbourne Drive at 9:15 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear window/door to three separate but adjacent residences. No property was taken from the residences. Total loss $3,000. #02259, #02263 and #02264

between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a mail package from the hallway of the apartment complex. Loss $1,000. #02275

Vehicle Burglary. 1000 block North La Brea Avenue between 8:10 and 10 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a laptop computer and hard drive from the back seat. Loss $2,760. #02298
Vehicle Burglary. 1000 block North La Brea Avenue between 8:07 and 10:16 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and ransacked the vehicle. The owner believes nothing was taken. Loss $250 (window). #02299

Grand Theft 9000 block Sunset Boulevard between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a suitcase and briefcase from the trunk of the unlocked vehicle. The briefcase contained a laptop, tablet, and headphones. Loss $3,940. #02301

Residential Burglary 700 block Doheny Drive between 9:40 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed a rear entry door to gain access to the residence and removed a laptop and $3,000 in cash from the living room. Loss $3,100. #02330
