WeHo Chamber’s State of the City Lunch Is Thursday

The West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s annual “State of the City” event will take place on Thursday at The Lot , 1040 N. Poinsettia Place, in West Hollywood.

The event will begin at from 11:30 a.m. and run until 1:30 p.m. It will feature speeches by West Hollywood Mayor John Heilman, City Manager Paul Arevalo, WeHo Chamber of Commerce Chair Keith Kaplan and Chamber CEO Genevieve Morrill.

The theme of this year’s event is “City in Motion.” A panel will discuss how local businesses benefit from mobility options including walking, cycling, taking public transit or using electric vehicles.

Panelists will include Glen Becerra, deputy executive officer for communications at the L.A. County Metropolitan Transportation Authority; Hilary Norton, executive director of Fixing Angelenos Stuck in Traffic (FAST); Timothy Burr Jr., director of public policy for Lyft, and Mott Smith of Civic Enterprise, a real estate developer.

“This year, we’re going beyond the basics by exploring all West Hollywood’s mobility options and strategizing how businesses, small or large, can fully benefit from them,” said Morrill in an announcement of the event.

Tickets, $125, can be purchased online.

So, what was with that email Morrill supposedly sent saying she was leaving? A fake email? What’s the REAL story?
