Kimpton Hotels will open its La Peer hotel this fall and already is taking room reservations for dates beginning Nov. 30.
The 105-room hotel is at 627 North La Peer Drive, just north of Melrose Avenue. With the opening of the Kimpton La Peer, the City of West Hollywood will be home to 20 hotels with others being planned.
The four-story building hotel will have a rooftop deck, a pool and fitness center, and more than 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining at the Viale dei Romani restaurant along with lounge spaces
In an announcement of the opening, Nick Rimedio, the hotel’s general manager, described it as having the amenities of a five-star hotel but with an atmosphere that involved “dropping our ties, lightening up on the starch and focusing on natural and unscripted guest engagement.”
Barely a block away is the site of the Robertson Lane project by Faring, for which a 242-room hotel is planned. That project is likely to go before the city’s Planning Commission in the Fall.
Room rates at the Kimpton La Peer are $390 for most nights in December, with average rates increasing to $480 a night in January.
The hotel is a project of 623 La Peer LLC, a company whose owners include siblings Carol Braidi and Elie and Demitri Samaha, natives of Lebanon who moved to Los Angeles in their teens. Demitri Samaha has been involved in several lawsuits involving development projects.
Larry…..your comp is on the way! Lol
How do you take reservations before you have a certificate of occupancy>.
While this hotel is getting ready to accept guests, houses on Ashcroft and Rangley that started construction at the same time still aren’t finished.
