Join the gay men’s Ski and Snowboard Club (SAGA) Los Angeles for a tour of two Los Angeles landmarks — the Doheny Mansion and the One Institute. The tour begins at 10 a.m. at the home of oil baron Edward Doheny, famous for establishing the Los Angeles oil fields and infamous for bribing senators in the Teapot Dome Scandal.
Next is a short walk to the One Institute, the largest repository of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer material in the world. The One Institute is in a former frat house that now is part of USC.
The tour ends with an optional walk to dinner at Chitchen Itza, th Mexican restaurant known for Yucatan cuisine.
Tickets, $20, are limited for the Doheny tour but not for the One Institute tour. Tickets can be purchased online.
