WHEN: Saturday, January 20 from 11:00am – 01:30pm
WHERE: Vinadore Studio & Cafe – 8157 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, 90069
DETAILS:
Gather at Vinadoré Café in West Hollywood, owned by chef and LGBTQ family member – Denton Lai. We’ll kick things off with a mimosa and a delicious appetizer before we hit the sidewalks of WeHo! From there we’ll wend our way through the area known as “Boys Town” to discover that before WeHo became an independent city in 1984, this area was out of jurisdiction of the LAPD. Some wild times went on back then and history shows that the party still continues! Find out where Judy Garland used to hang out with her “lavender lads”, travel back in time to the 1st LGBT supper clubs of the 20’s, see the bar where the phrase “lipstick lesbian” was first uttered, hear how the town got the zip code 900″69″ and much, much more. We’ll end the experience with a delicious brunch with new friends!
