Robbery – Strong Arm. 600 block North Robertson Boulevard at 1 a.m. A man was walking on the sidewalk when another man approached him and demanded his property. The victim complied. The incident was reported one week after it occurred. Loss $1,600 (wallet, cell phone, car keys). #00338

Burglary – Other. 9000 block West Sunset Boulevard between Dec. 1, 2017, and Jan. 10. An unknown suspect removed a loaded handgun from an unlocked file cabinet. The file cabinet was inside of an unsecured office. No sign of forced entry to the building. Loss $670. #00244
Residential Burglary. 1100 block North Flores Street between 2:40 and 4:10 a.m. An unknown suspect removed an iPad, leather jacket and two pairs of headphones from the bedroom. No sign of forced entry. Loss $1,500. #00214
Vehicle Burglary. 8900 block Sunset Boulevard between 1 and 2 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a hand bag containing a passport from the rear floorboard. Loss $265. #00194
Vehicle Burglary. 7900 block Romaine Street between 9 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. the next day. An unknown suspect removed two pairs of reading glasses and $30 in coins from the center console, one pair of sunglasses from the driver’s side door storage area and two gym bags from the trunk. No sign of forced entry. Loss $750.

Robbery – Armed. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 4 p.m. A women removed clothing items and left the store without payment. When confronted by store security, the suspect began to struggle in an attempt to escape and armed herself with a pair of scissors from her pocket. The suspect was allowed to leave. Loss $75. #00253

Aggravated Assault – Knife (Suspect Arrested). Palm Avenue / Cynthia Street at 2 a.m. A homeless man used a knife to slash the tires of 12 separate vehicles. The victim confronted the suspect and asked him to stop vandalizing vehicles. The suspect swung at the victim with the knife in his hand but missed. Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect. #00292
