Details: College students: LACMA is hosting a free evening just for you. Explore “Found in Translation: Design in California and Mexico, 1915–1985,” the groundbreaking exhibition about design dialogues between California and Mexico. Discover the exhibition, “Painted in Mexico, 1700–1790: Pinxit Mexici,” devoted to 18th century Mexican painting; “A Universal History of Infamy,” which engages 16 U.S. Latino and Latin American artists and collaborative teams working across a range of media—from installation and performance to drawing and video; “Wu Bin: Ten Views of a Lingbi Stone,” which explores the history of collecting strange stones in China and the relationship between them, Daoist cosmology, and classical Chinese poetry; and contemporary photography in “Richard Prince: Untitled (cowboy).” Participate in gallery discussions, curator tours, create art inspired by “Found in Translation,” and enjoy a free reception in honor of college students, all after public hours.
