Just after 8 p.m. last night, a woman was trapped inside her car after colliding with two other cars on the 900 block of North Palm Avenue.

Neighborhood residents gathered on the sidewalk and watched as L.A. County Fire Department workers removed the woman from her car and coordinated her transport to a local area hospital for a medical evaluation.

The two other cars appear to have been unoccupied at the time of the accident. The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station is investigating the incident.

If she was texting, she should be charged with a felony. I have always believed that car makers should be required to install “texting scramblers” so that the driver cannot text while driving. We require wearing seat belts for our own protection, why not protect other drivers?
