Driver Taken to Hospital After Two-Car Crash on Fountain at Havenhurst

Just after 6 p.m. today, West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a collision at the intersection of Fountain Avenue and Havenhurst Drive

The accident involved a newer model Mercedes Benz and an older model SUV.

The driver of the Mercedes Benz was transported to a local area hospital for a medical evaluation. West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies are handling the investigation.

I witnessed this accident. Agreed. Right turn only. I don’t understand why you would want to take that risk anyway. Take the time and safety to go around the block.

Agreed. Nobody should ever be taking an unprotected left onto fountain. No matter what Waze or Google Maps tells you. Also, can we please get some speed bumps on Fountain Ave? People need to stop treating it like a free-for-all highway; it’s literally residential.

More than any other street along Fountain, there need to be “Right Turn Only” signs on Havenhurst. It is far too congested due to its proximity to Crescent Heights and yet every single day I am forced to cede my right away to some entitled idiot who thinks it’s appropriate to either cross or make a left onto Fountain. While the city spends the next year wasting money on traffic and safety studies they should put this sign up immediately. Safety first. Bureaucracy second.
