Gun-Packing Woman Scores $2,800 in Morning Robberies on Westmount in WeHo.

A woman with a gun robbed two men on Westmount Drive last Thursday morning. Lax car owners suffered $18,040 in thefts and damages., Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out those and other incidents in WeHo from April 16 to 22. The list includes each case number. This report lists Part 1 (serious) crimes for the date range shown and is not meant to be a complete list of all serious crimes.

April 16

Aggravated Assault – Knife (Suspect Arrested). 7400 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 10:50 p.m. A man walked into a restaurant, sat down at a booth occupied by a man and woman. The suspect mumbled incoherent words and then stood up while armed with a knife and lunged at the women. The man in the booth stood up to protect the women and was stabbed two times on his hand. The suspect then fled the area on foot. Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect and recovered the knife used in the assault. #02462

crime, west hollywood sheriff's stationArmed Robbery (Suspect Arrested). 7300 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 10:40 a.m. A man was sitting at a table in Plummer Park when another man approached and took the victim’s bag from the table and walked away. When confronted by the victim, the suspect picked up a broken bottle from the ground and threw it at the victim. The victim was hit on the hand and was injured. Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect. #02446

April 17

Residential Burglary – Attempt. 1200 block Formosa Avenue at 12:30 a.m. A man used a chair to reach a bathroom window and removed the window screen in an attempt to gain entry but was scared off by the resident. No loss. #02463

Residential Burglary. 1200 block Greenacre Avenue at 3:50 a.m. A man cut a sliding glass door window screen in an attempt to gain entry. The suspect also entered and ransacked a storage unit. Loss (window screen). #02468

April 18

Grand Theft. 1000 block Doheny Drive at 2:52 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a laptop computer and a Chanel purse containing a wallet, credit cards, sunglasses and key fob from the front seat of the unlocked vehicle. Loss $9,400. #02503

April 19

Grand Theft (Suspect Arrested). 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 3:23 p.m. A man removed spray paint, clothing and electronics from a display area and left the store without paying. The suspect was detained by an employee and arrested by responding deputies. Loss $1,100 (recovered). #02517

Armed Robbery. 400 block Westbourne Drive at 6:22 a.m. A man was walking on Westbourne Drive and when a woman approached him, armed with a handgun, and demanded his backpack. The victim complied and the suspect fled the area in a vehicle. Loss $960 (backpack, cell phone wallet, $100 cash). #02510

Armed Robbery. 300 block Westbourne Drive at 6:20 a.m. A man was walking on Westbourne Drive when a woman approached him while armed with a handgun and demanded his property. The victim complied and the suspect fled the area in a vehicle. Loss $1,900 (wallet, cell phone $800 cash). #02512

April 20

Grand Theft. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 12:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a purse from the victim’s shopping cart when it was left momentarily unattended. Loss $3,000 ($2,600 cash). #02555

Vehicle Burglary. 8200 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 6 p.m. and 10:10 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a bag containing three tennis rackets and headphones from the rear floorboard. Loss $1,100. #02560

April 21

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested). 8200 block Sunset Boulevard at 1:20 a.m. The victim was working as a security guard at the club when a man drove by the location in his vehicle and shot at the victim with a BB gun. Moments later, while still driving his vehicle, the suspect shot at another man as he was walking on Sunset Boulevard. Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect. #02554

Aggravated Assault – Hands, Fist, Feet. 8800 block Sunset Boulevard at 11:56 p.m. A man was thrown to the ground by another man after causing a disturbance and attempting to punch a friend of the suspect. #02576

April 22

Grand Theft. 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 1:15 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a wallet containing credit cards and two cell phones from the victim’s purse while inside the club. Loss $1,100. #02579

Other Burglary – Attempt. 8600 block Melrose Avenue between 2 a.m. and 2 p.m. An unknown suspect used a pry bar on a side door in an attempt to gain entry but was unsuccessful. Loss $500 (damaged door). #02633

Vehicle Burglary. 9000 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 9 and 11:50 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing an iPad and three gold bracelets from the backseat. Loss $7,000. #02622

Vehicle Burglary. 1200 block Harper Avenue between 11:15 p.m. and 10:30 a.m.. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and removed a hat from the back seat. Loss $540. #02626

What restaurant was the April 16th episode in? Jones?

I’m guessing the assailant is homeless. A man was stabbed to death in a similar situation in Ventura last week.
