Stormy Daniels Was a Hit at The Abbey. Her Security Guards? Not So Much

The Storm continues.

The Abbey has struggled for quite a while now to curb thefts of cellphones by strangers from its inebriated customers.

However, the cellphone collectors on Wednesday night have been identified. They were members of the security detail of porn actress Stormy Daniels, who, by the way, left without paying their bill.

David Cooley, owner of the famous bar and restaurant, posted a complaint about that on Facebook and asked that any customer who had his or her cellphone confiscated call the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station to report it.

“Thank you to everyone who came out to see Stormy Daniels last night,” Cooley wrote. “We were so excited to host her as we know many of you were. Stormy was a delightful guest and we would have her back any time. Her security detail was a disaster.

“They were rude to many of our guests, they were aggressive with several of our staff, they were shoving press outside and being generally rude. They also walked out on their bill and didn’t tip their server. This is not the behavior that we tolerate at The Abbey.

“We’ve heard from many of you that they were taking your cell phones away. If your cell phone was taken by her security detail, please file a report with the West Hollywood Sheriffs immediately.”

Daniels and her very large security staffers dropped by the Abbey for several hours on Wednesday night after Daniels (nee Stephanie Clifford) had finished peddling her t-shirts at Chi Chi LaRue’s, the erotic apparel store on Santa Monica Boulevard.

That event, for which dozens of people stood in line on the sidewalk outside, was preceded by Mayor John Duran’s proclamation of “Stormy Daniels Day” at 4 p.m., which drew a large number of TV crews.

It’s sad that Duran has caused WeHo this kind of national embarrassment for one of his own cheap publicity thrills. Duran continues to be a publicity whore & the other council members who supported him are no better
By the way I saw one of her security guards rudely elbow D’Amico away from her during the “presentation. The bully should have had his ass kicked

Dear Stormy,
I love you. A lot. NOW SEND A LARGE TIP TO THE SERVERS, LIKE YESTERDAY.

Under what pretense were the security guards taking people’s phones away? And why would anyone agree to it?

The woman and her supporters who hired the “security” detail had every right to put on an event I found completely unworthy of my attendance but, running an unauthorized “security” detail is a serious risk to public safety! An authorized security company must have a PPO (Private Patrol Operators) license with the Security Officers that have (Guard Cards) issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services which is a part of the DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS. If the Security Officers are Armed they MUST have an Exposed Firearms Permit or a CCW (Carrying a Concealed Weapon) permit along with… Read more »

City Hall should cover and reimburse these guys for there phones taken since they decided to waste the taxpayers money on a useless event, and brought Stormy Daniels and her security to the city,

The City didn’t put on the event at the Abbey, and I believe her appearance at Chi Chi La Rue’s was already scheduled, even before they decided to give her the key to the city. The Chi Chi La Rue event was widely publicized, and I don’t remember the city announcing their event until just a few days before.

You might not agree with the city event, but they aren’t responsible for her press tour, which was already in motion. Nor are they responsible for her awful security detail. People have publicity events in West Hollywood several times a week.

Not surprising! When you deal with a long line of Grifters and the grifter hanger ons aka “security detail” you get grifted.
