Detectives Tuesday released security video of a man suspected of robbing four Subway shops and three liquor stores over two days in the San Fernando Valley, Hollywood and West Hollywood.
The suspect robbed a bottle of booze on Aug. 5 from a liquor store in the 4000 block of Fulton Avenue in Sherman Oaks, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“The suspect asked to see a bottle of liquor from behind the counter,” according to a police statement. “When the clerk gave the suspect the liquor, he ran from the store with the bottle. The following day … the suspect committed five armed robberies in the Hollywood area, West Hollywood area and continuing into the San Fernando Valley.”
The West Hollywood robbery occurred at a liquor store in the 7000 block of Santa Monica Boulevard on Aug. 6. The suspect returned to the Fulton Avenue liquor store on Aug. 7 and attempted the rob the business at gunpoint, police said.
“The suspect committed two robberies of Subway restaurants afterwards,” police said.
The suspect is described as white, possibly Armenian, 20-25 years old, 5 feet 10 to 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160-170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He used a gray semi-automatic handgun.
