Kenneth Arthur Nelson, 80, died Friday, September 1, at the Melrose Gardens retirement home.
Nelson, who lived in West Hollywood, was a lover of art and astrology and a big supporter of the artist community in Los Angeles and Santa Fe. His parents were Caroline and Arthur Nelson, both of whom are deceased. Nelson distanced himself from his friends and there is no surviving family member other than a niece in Colorado.
Nelson and his partner Stan ran a clothing store in Chicago before they moved to Santa Fe, and Los Angeles. There is no burial service. Nelson’s arrangements are taken care of by the Neptune Society. He will be cremated and his ashes released in San Francisco Bay. Nelson loved driving to visit San Francisco. He will be missed.
