Two Armed Robberies and Five Vehicle Burglaries in WeHo Last Week

There were two armed robberies in West Hollywood last week on West Knoll at Sherwood and West Knoll at Rosewood and five vehicle burglaries were reported. The list below is of all serious (Part 1) crimes reported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station during the week of Oct. 29 to Nov. 4.

Oct. 29

Grand Theft. 8500 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 3:07 a.m. A man picked up a purse that was placed on the sidewalk by the victim and ran from the area. #07144

Vehicle Burglary. 1100 block North Ogden Drive between 2:45 and 3:50 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the interior. #07155

Oct. 30

Armed Robbery. West Knoll Drive / Rosewood Avenue at 10:40 p.m. A man was getting into his vehicle when another vehicle stopped in the street next to the victim’s vehicle. A man exited his vehicle while armed with a handgun and demanded the victim’s property and he complied. Another man exited his vehicle and drove the victim’s vehicle away. #07185

Oct. 31

Grand Theft. 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 11 and 11:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from a table inside the club. #07198

Grand Theft. 600 block North Robertson Boulevard between 10 and 11:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s purse while inside the club. #07264

Other Burglary. 7400 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 3:43 a.m. Two men smashed a side window to gain access and entered the manager’s office. The suspects used a crow bar and attempted to pry a safe open but were unsuccessful. #07189

Vehicle Burglary. 1100 block Hacienda Place between 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 am. An unknown suspect removed property from the trunk and center console. No sign of forced entry. #07248

Nov. 1

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon. 600 block North San Vicente Boulevard at 2:15 a.m. A man was hit in the face with a hard object by the suspect during a dispute over loud music. The victim suffered a cut to his face. #07216

Aggravated Assault – Hands, Fist, Feet (Suspect Arrested). 8300 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 11 a.m. A woman was walking in the crosswalk when a man approached and punched her one time in the face without provocation. The victim fell to the ground and lost consciousness. Three witnesses chased after the suspect and detained him until deputies arrived. The suspect was arrested. #07240

Grand Theft (Suspect’s Arrested). 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 8:12 p.m. A man and a woman removed electronics, clothing, luggage, jewelry and cosmetics and left the store without payment. Both suspects was detained by store security and arrested by responding deputies. #07269

Vehicle Burglary. 8500 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 9 and 9:50 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the rear floor board. #07266

Vehicle Burglary. 8500 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 9 and 10:15 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the back seat. #07265

Vehicle Burglary/8500 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 9 and 10:50 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed property from the front floorboard. #07268

Nov. 3

Residential Burglary (Suspect Arrested). 1000 block Spaulding Avenue at 9:45 a.m. A man forced the back door open to gain entry and removed a set of keys from the kitchen cabinet. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies as he left the residence. The keys were recovered. #07299

Strong Arm Robbery. Santa Monica Boulevard / San Vicente Boulevard at 2:10 a.m. A man was standing on the sidewalk talking to two men when one of the men asked to use the victim’s phone and he complied. After being handed the phone, the suspect ran from the area. The second suspect then pulled the victim’s gold necklace from his neck and ran from the area. #07311

Armed Robbery. Sherwood Drive / West Knoll Drive at 10:20 p.m. A man was walking on West Knoll Drive when three men approached him while armed with handguns and demanded his property. The victim complied and the suspects ran from the area. #07315

Nov. 4

Strong Arm Robbery. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 8:30 p.m. A man removed shoes and a hat and left the store without payment. When confronted by store security, the suspect grabbed the victim by her arms and shoved her away. The suspect fled the area on foot. #07331
