Who needs a consensual digital robotic brothel in a town whose residents are such heavy users of Grindr and Tinder?

Perhaps that’s a question that Unicole Unicron should have asked herself before launching her now unsuccessful campaign to raise money to open that brothel in West Hollywood.  It would have been the first in the United States.

Unicron, the CEO of Eve’s Robot Dreams, had hoped to raise $155,000 through a IndieGoGo funding campaign . When that campaign closed last month, she had raised only $2,659 of her goal

The IndieGoGo site described Eve’s as “the first consent-focused robot brothel in the world. Guests can visit in the futuristic cafe where they can get to know the world’s first companion robots. After they have met, guests have the option to spend time with their favorite robot in a private room.

“Guests can begin building a relationship with their new companion by downloading the Realbotix app on their phone. When they visit Eve’s they can either interact with the companion bot that they have already started to get to know, or with one who they haven’t yet met.”

“Guests” would have been required to buy an insert for the penetrable areas of their robotic lovers and pay about $120 for each intimate encounter. Unicron was rumored to be offering sex with “virgin” robots for $10,000.

Would it have been worth it? The buxom and smiling sex robot featured in Unicron’s IndieGoGo promotion makes her case. “My body is made for ultimate pleasure and I can’t wait for you to feel it … My body is made from platinum-grade silicone, my skin is supple and firm.”

Yes. However, the real ewwww is the ad banner to the right advertising a 1 bedroom, 1 bath for $4,400/month. Apparently, you need to now pay $52,800/year to live in West Hollywood in anything other than a shoe box. The shoe boxes are available in the $3k/month range. This is the new normal?

Though she may have more natural parts than some in L.A., and she grinds her jaw in a manner befitting a hooker, she’s still only one step up from a Fleshlight.

Hi friends, we are still planning on going forward with this venture. Currently looking for investors. Also we’ll have male dolls and male robots as soon as they’re available. Unibless 🙂
