Nine Thefts from Cars and One Theft of a Car in WeHo Last Week

There were nine thefts from autos and one theft of an auto reported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station last week. The incidents below are serious (Part I) crimes reported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department that occurred between Dec. 3 and Dec. 9. Dec. 3

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon. 1000 block San Vicente Boulevard at 10 a.m. A man hit several occupied vehicles with the car he was driving while trying to evade arrest for identity theft. #07941

Strong Arm Robbery. 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 1 a.m. A man was walking on Santa Monica Boulevard when he was approached from behind by the suspect and hit on the back of his head with an unknown object. The suspect took the victim’s cell phone and fled the area on foot. #07942

Vehicle Burglary. 1000 block Sierra Bonita Avenue between midnight and 8:15 a.m. An unknown suspect removed property from the trunk and front seat. No sign of forced entry. #07949

Dec. 4

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon. 600 block North Robertson Boulevard at 4:10 p.m. Three men ordered drinks and left the location without paying for their bill. When confronted in the parking lot by an employee, the suspects hit the employee with their vehicle and drove away. The victim was not injured. #07964

Strong Arm Robbery (Suspects Arrested). 8300 block Sunset Boulevard at 6:10 p.m. A man jumped over the counter and removed an e-cigarette and a box of Juul pods from a display area and ran from the store. An employee tried to stop the suspect and another man from driving away and was hit by their vehicle. The victim was not injured. Both suspects were arrested the next day by patrol deputies. #07968

Vehicle Burglary. 100 block Clark Street between 11 p.m. and 9:45 a.m. An unknown suspect ransacked the interior and removed property from the trunk. No sign of forced entry. #07979

Vehicle Burglary. 1200 block Hayworth Avenue between Dec. 4 and Dec. 6. An unknown suspect used a screwdriver to force the driver’s side door open and removed paperwork from the glove box. #07992

Dec. 5

Vehicle Burglary. 700 block West Knoll Drive between noon and 3:30 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and removed property from the back seat. #07984

Dec. 6

Grand Theft. 600 block Orlando Avenue between 6:20 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. An unknown suspect removed property from the back seat and trunk of the unlocked vehicle. #08007

Vehicle Burglary. 1400 block Havenhurst Avenue between 8 p.m. and 10 a,m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and removed property from the back seat. #08012

Dec. 7

Residential Burglary (Suspect Arrested). 8700 block Rangely Avenue at 10:30 p.m. A man used an unlocked back door to gain entry and removed a set of car keys from the kitchen counter. The suspect used the keys to steal the victim’s vehicle from her driveway. The suspect was arrested four hours later after the stolen vehicle was seen by patrol deputies. #07999

Vehicle Burglary. Norwich Avenue / Melrose Avenue between 2:30 and 3 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the interior. #08013

Dec. 8

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested). 8700 block Rangely Avenue at 11:38 p.m. A man was hit on his head with a glass bottle during a fight with another man. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #08043

Grand Theft. 600 block North Robertson Boulevard between 11 p.m. and midnight. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s front pocket while on the dance floor. #08053

Vehicle Burglary. 7100 block Sunset Boulevard between 3:15 and 5 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the front and back seats. #08036

Dec. 9

Grand Theft. 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s jacket while on the dance floor. #08054

Residential Burglary (Attempt). 700 block Westbourne Drive between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. An unknown suspect used a ladder to gain access to a second floor balcony and attempted to pry a sliding glass door open but was unsuccessful. #08056

Vehicle Burglary. 1000 block Carol Drive between 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. An unknown suspect removed property from the trunk. No sign of forced entry. #08072
