“James possesses the skill, expertise and enthusiasm to effectively grow these organizations,” said Tom Kiely, president & CEO of WHTTB. “The leadership James will bring to these BIDs will continue to elevate our city’s brand and reputation as a global destination.”

O’Callaghan was most recently the president/CEO of the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce, where he created and executed strategic planning for the organization, advocating for more than 12,000 local businesses. In that role he was the liaison with political and civic organizations.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to promote such dynamic and esteemed districts within West Hollywood, and I look forward to working with the community stakeholders and contributing to their ongoing success,” O’Callaghan said.

O’Callaghan’s appointment comes shortly after the West Hollywood Travel + Tourism Board’s latest board of directors installation. Newly elected board members for 2019 include David Combes, co-founder/principal of Botanical Hospitality Group; Nate Hardesty, general manager of Andaz West Hollywood, and Bert Seneca, general manager of Le Parc Suites Hotel.
