In partnership with Design LA Magazine, the West Hollywood Design District will present two art events, “A Melrose Block Party” and “Art After Dark” at La Peer Hotel on Saturday for Frieze LA, an art fair in Los Angeles bringing together 70 contemporary galleries from across the city and around the world.
“We are so proud to welcome Frieze LA to West Hollywood’s Design District during its inaugural year in Los Angeles,” said Gulla Jonsdottir, architect and designer and the arts chair for the Design District. “Frieze will add more energy to our already colorful destination through the beautiful works of art and design displayed by the District’s expertly curated collection of galleries which will be showcased during ‘A Melrose Block Party’.”
“We are elated to be one of the hotel sponsors for Frieze LA during its first year in Los Angeles,” said La Peer Hotel General Manager Nick Rimedio. “We hope that La Peer will serve as a starting point for attendees of the art fair to explore L.A.’s most walkable neighborhood with its iconic West Hollwood mix of art, fashion, cuisine and night life. Art After Dark is a true celebration of the Design District in homage to Frieze LA, bringing together a great lineup of artists as well as our renowned restaurants in Cecconi’s, Craig’s, Gracias Madre and Viale Dei Romani by Case Lane.”
