A Fox 11 local news reporter confronted Ed Buck inside his apartment building at 1234 Laurel Ave. on Wednesday to ask him about the deaths in Buck’s apartment of Gemmel Moore and Timothy Dean.
But Buck, outside whose apartment there have been several rallies demanding that he be prosecuted for those deaths, had little to say.
“Get a job. Get a life,” was his response to the Fox 11 crew. Fox reports that Buck, pushed for a response on the deaths of Moore and Dean, said: “Yeah, and I’m gonna die in here soon too.”
Buck, 64, is known as a donor to Democratic political candidates, including four of the five members of the West Hollywood City Council. The death in 2017 of the 26-year-old Gemmel Moore, an African-American sex worker, of a drug overdose sparked a demand from Moore’s mother and friends for an investigation into whether Buck was complicit in the death. Buck’s attorney, Seymour Amster, has said he is not.
The death of Dean, 55, a black man who was an employee of Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills and also a gay porn performer, brought renewed calls for the Sheriff’s Department to investigate. An investigation of his death and a new look at Moore’s death is underway.
How about you go to rehab, buck?
Ed Buck fits right into Mayor John Duran’s view of West Hollywood being a “sex-based city.”
