An NBA player arrested last summer for driving under the influence entered a no contest plea today, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today.
Allen Lester Crabbe III, 27, entered the plea to one misdemeanor count of engaging in a motor vehicle exhibition of speed on a highway, said an announcement from the D.A.’s office.
Crabbe was immediately sentenced to three years of summary probation and ordered to complete DUI first offender and Mothers Against Drunk Driving programs.
Deputy District Attorney Lucrecia Boado said a “Watson advisement” also was given, stating that if he drives under the influence and a person is killed, he could be charged with murder.
On June 26 last year, Crabbe was driving in West Hollywood when he was stopped by a sheriff’s deputy after showing signs of driving under the influence.
