Impulse Group Will Celebrate Pride With a Bus to West Hollywood

EDITOR’S NOTE: Because of the George Floyd protests and violence that has occurred near them, Impulse Group has decided not to proceed with today’s bus Parade event.

Virtually all LGBTQ Pride events are going virtual this summer because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the Impulse Group Los Angeles, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, and the La Fuente Hollywood Treatment Center will take to the streets on Sunday to celebrate with a bus with banners that will run from downtown Los Angeles and through Silver Lake before making a final stop at Rocco’s, the bar and restaurant in West Hollywood.

Along the way, the organizers will drop off donations to the Van Ness Recovery House in Los Angeles and Being Alive,  the HIV/AIDS non-profit in West Hollywood.

The trip will be projected on La Fuente’s Facebook page at noon and 12:45 p.m. and at 2 p.m., when there will be a live drag performance at Roccos.

“Sadly, we can’t give you a ticket to ride on the bus (social distancing guidelines),” Impulse says in an announcement of the event, “but you can catch all the action live on Facebook.”
