West Hollywood will host a rally in support of the Asian-American, Pacific Islander communities on Saturday.
The #StopAsianHate rally is Saturday at 12 noon at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and La Cienega. The rally will serve as a call for action to end the anti-Asian sentiments which have been on the rise in the past year since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Rally organizer Conrad Pratt explained, “As the hate crimes against Asian-Americans rise, it was in my natural activist reaction to gather the community again. Similar to the BLM protest I organized back in June, this Saturday I will be organizing a protest in West Hollywood as part of a larger nationwide initiative for a Call to Action.”
Pratt reported 40+ cities have declared Saturday as a day of solidarity with the Asian-American community. West Hollywood is among those cities.
Rally organizers plan a peaceful march through West Hollywood to bring visibility and attention to the cause.
