Two shootings rock WeHo over the weekend

West Hollywood witnessed two very public shootings on Saturday, one of which was fatal.

On Saturday afternoon, LAPD officers responding to a call were confronted by a driver, who backed his vehicle into them at the intersection of Fairfax and Sunset, just outside city limits.

“At that time the driver exited as did the driver and passenger of the police car. The driver of that car that had reversed back into the police officer was wearing body armor and was holding his right hand behind his back. The officers gave him commands which he did not follow, and he started counting down, saying 3… 2… 1… as he started to pull his hand from his back to the front.,” LAPD Detective Meghan Aguilar.

The suspect was shot and died at the scene. Bodycam footage is being investigated.

The suspect’s vehicle had “several stickers on it that referenced government deception, biblical terms and the Illuminati,” according to NBC Los Angeles.

Close to midnight on Saturday, Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a shooting incident at the crowded Classic Cat on 8830 Sunset Boulevard, which left the road shut to traffic till the early hours of the morning.

One person was hospitalized and one suspect arrested at the chaotic scene, according to WeHo Times.

If they shot him in the thoracic cavity, he wasn’t wearing armor. Maybe a plate carrier, but no plates, no soft panels. Just going Hollywood with his tacticool appearance in Hollywood.

Also, apparently, this had happened to him before. This exact same scenario.

Where are the protests? LAPD shot an unarmed man! Why is this not being covered everywhere?

According to the article I guess you must be crazy if you believe in God and the illuminati. If the guy shot would just believe in the brain dead criminal socialist in the white house and his raging alcoholic leader of the house all the way down to Eric “Watch me raise crime and homelessness in Los Angeles to unprecedented levels” Garcetti and his failing liberal Gulag we would all just be so happy. Article written by another “everything about me is fake but I’m perfect” liberal. Cops and Firemen are bad. The woke whose only accomplishment is collecting unemployment… Read more »

West Hollywood and the surrounding area of Hollywood and the Hollywood melrose and Beverly district always seems to be the epicenter of criminal activity. The clubs are always a haven for this to happen when heated arguments turn violent and innocent bystanders have to be caught in the melee or the crossfire. Many innocent victims coming from establishments in Weho or Hollywood or Melrose and Beverly are the ones who/that answer to another person’s fury and anger by them brandishing and firing a gun to address their bruised egos of being disrespected. No one can ever be civilized or just… Read more »

Arm yourselves. Cops have no duty to protect or rescue you, in the end. Multiple SCOTUS cases have affirmed that. You are your own first responder.

My original comment was gobbled up by some hungry electrons. But – trying to reform police, many of whom have been thoroughly indoctrinated by their peers and police practice eco;lved over generations and the ever-present political phrase “law and order”, is very like teaching an old dog new tricks. While there is no doubt that reforms are long overdue and not all police fall into the same category, a better place to focus reform would be at the start: better selection and more intense training in areas not associated with how well to shoot. I have a 5000 word treatise… Read more »

I’m sorry, but judicious and precise marksmanship are incredibly important to the job of…anybody. Especially since the government has a monopoly on violence.

There was a whole thread of comments on here that some how was conveniently deleted in the last 12 hours. Seems like censorship at Wehoville. Not shocking as they release straight up press releases from City Hall RE: Sepi Shyne.

We did almost a dozen upgrades to the platform the other day and posts between 12-3 pm that day were lost. Sorry, we are going through upgrades as best as we can to keep the old data.
