A Mercedes-Benz caught fire Thursday afternoon at the intersection of La Cienega and Santa Monica in West Hollywood.
Capt. Todd Painton of the L.A. Fire Department said his team was on the scene and had successfully extinguished the blaze less than 20 minutes after it began.
The driver, who was uninjured, reportedly smelled fuel in the vehicle prior to noticing the fire.
Capt. Painton said the vehicle was likely a total loss.
This is a clear example of government needing to get involved by dramatically raising taxes on the wealthy owners of these high status automobiles for damage they inflict on society and the environment!
Spell check = La Cienega
cat rescued from a tree…….more at 5PM.
The wonderful Cat is now doing well with its own social media accounts❗😺
This goes to show the dangers of cars over Public Mass Transit that we should invest in to replace them. The police should even use Public Transit given that their dangerous police cars are prone to bursting into flames, nearly burning me on several occasions❗🔥
You can give up your car. Leave everyone else alone.
It works a whole lot better in reducing the negative impact if we all give up cars and move on to new innovative sustainable methods of Public Transportation that will completely replace cars in all of the Los Angeles area. Already fully electric buses and light rail is starting to show up with more to come.😃
