As Pride Month begins, one local theater company is helping to amplify the voices of some of the least-heard members of the LGBTQ community: senior citizens.

Secret Lives will explore the stories of seniors who had to keep secrets to maintain their careers, families or places in society. The first part of the four-episode series airs at 7 p.m. tonight. Admission is free; RSVP by calling or emailing: (323) 860-5830 or [email protected].

The program is presented with the support of a grant from the City of West Hollywood’s Arts Division as part of the City’s One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival. The performers are all from the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Senior Services program which offers dozens of monthly events and activities.

“This is our tenth year being a part of LA Pride and the City’s innovative festival,” director Mark Salyer told Broadway World. “I’ve always felt like the projects that the city curates each year reflect what Pride should be about – diverse voices, reflective of our city and our community. We are proud to have been a part of One City One Pride.”
