L-Project LA hosts Women’s Freedom Festival on Saturday

In recognition of Pride Month, The L-Project LA is hosting a Virtual Pride Event sponsored by The City of West Hollywood starting Saturday at 11 a.m.The day kicks off at 10:15 a.m. with the Unofficial Dyke March Taking the Street, starting at Sal Guarriello Veterans’ Memorial on the corner of 8441 Santa Monica Blvd and Holloway to Rocco’s. 

Then begins the Women’s Freedom Festival, a four-hour event featuring LGBTQ+ BIPOC women and non-binary Artists in music, art, comedy, fashion and poetry. The festival premieres live on Facebook at 11 a.m. on Saturday at https://www.facebook.com/LProjectLA.

The event is free but guests may donate to support The L-Project LA’s Mission: to promote, inspire and support women and non-binary creatives through the arts and technology. The L-Project LA is a 501c3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.

A post-party at Rocco’s starts at 3 p.m. with live performance by Mz. Peachazz and DJ Lancia.

The Women’s Freedom Festival is the creation of The L-Project LA’s Founding President, Chris Baldwin – “I’m very excited for people all over the country, all over the world for that matter to experience our community, to be entertained by our outstanding artist and to SEE that THEY are represented in the Women’s Freedom Festival. To have Pride is to inspire and be inspired, to celebrate and participate…We look forward to joining hands virtually from West Hollywood, California.”
