The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed two people were hospitalized in connection with a one-vehicle wreck between 2:30 and 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning on Sunset Blvd. near the State House in West Hollywood. No further details are being released at this time. Stay tuned for more on this story.
SPEED SPEED SPEED AND MORE SPEED. I live one block above Sunset on Londonderry View (behind Daughter’s Deli) Every day and night I hear the speeders…especially weekends. “Grown Men” showing off their expensive toys. Some even race one another. Does not surprise me at all to see this vehicle upside down. If he caused this to happen they should take his ass to jail instead of Cedars emergency room. Police do nothing to deter these wreckless and arrogant dirt bags from speeding up and down the Boulevard repeatedly. One day somebody will die…and it will either be a pedestrian or… Read more »
This 2 block area is a hot spot for many decades for bad accidents. The past car accident in front of Book Soup and the many accidents in front of Chase Bank at Sunset and Larrabee and in front of Turner’s liquor store next door to the Viper Room. Putting a prized historic statue at this location was really poorly planned and many in the neighborhood said cars would eventually crash into Rocky and Bullwinkle….and now it has finally happened.
Where is the West Hollywood Sheriff Department? All too often I have seen idiots speeding along the strip and there is never a police vehicle in sight. I live just below Sunset Blvd near Doheny and I constantly hear very loud exhausts from idiots driving way above the speed limit. Also, those mufflers that produce the loud exhaust noises are illegal under California law.
I was at State on Sunday and our server told us the police were chasing that car.
[…] LOS ANGELES, CA – Two people are in the hospital following a single-vehicle rollover accident on Saturday morning, local news reports. […]
This is the second time in about six weeks that this intersection had a vehicular accident. Rocky and Bullwinkle were luckier the first time around.
When are the Sheriff’s going to patrol or nab the drivers who have converted Fountain to an off season Indianapolis Speedway. It can happen on any night but Friday -Sunday seems to be prime time. One or two officers armed with radar guns should do the trick even if they can’t hear or recognize Lamborghinis and others doing their thing at 60-70+ mph.
It is frustrating and scary since that particular intersection has 2 pedestrian cross walks that merge with that triangle along with a bus stop that is at that stop in front of the statue! What if people were walking in general or waiting for the number 2 bus that has a bus stop on that exact spot? What if there were tourists or diners out enjoying a walk too? What caused this crash and if there will be accountability. I doubt this was a medical emergency that caused it! There could be serious mortal injury and consequences to the public… Read more »
Idiots racing undoubtedly. If so, send them to jail directly from the hospital.
