Marco Pelusi Hair Studio in West Hollywood treated five UCLA Health nurses who braved the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic to a free makeover yesterday, and the good deed was featured on major media outlets such as KTLA and CNN.

Owner Marco Pelusi, a stylist to the stars, created the event to give back to the essential workers who had sacrificed so much to keep Angelenos safe and healthy.

“They have worked so hard, so diligently, so ferociously, and so I thought, ‘Makeovers on nurses,'” Pelusi told CNN. “We wanted to make them feel good so when they get in the mirror in the morning, they’ve got some pretty color to look at and they’re energized to go back out on the front lines,” Pelusi said.

The five nurses were Dahlia Maldonaldo, Amy Goldberg, Maria Morales, Danielle Roques, and Iris Mayoral.

Marco Pelusi Hair Studio is located at 636 N Robertson Blvd.
