The City of West Hollywood will host two Post Pandemic Action Plan Virtual Community Meetings, which will give members of the community an opportunity to receive a general overview from City staff about the City’s Post Pandemic Action Plan. Meetings will also provide an opportunity for community members to provide input and feedback to the City about ideas and priorities.

During the past 18 months, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed life for everyone. The City of West Hollywood has worked determinedly to provide community members regularly updated information from public health officials, to provide access to relief and resources, and to develop innovative policies that support health and wellness while supporting businesses and residents.
One of the creative steps taken by the City has been the development of Outdoor Use Temporary Zones (OUT Zones). These temporary outdoor expansions provide outdoor commercial space in the public right-of-way for restaurants, shops, and personal care establishments to move operations outdoors in an effort to provide a safer environment with additional physical distancing.
Throughout the pandemic, the City has also worked to develop and expand vital programs to keep renters in their housing and commercial tenants in their businesses; to ensure access for community members to food and to support; and to provide grants and resources to businesses and their workforces.
The City’s Post Pandemic Action Plan will help establish a framework and steps for the City’s future, as it envisions steps to be taken to support economic and community recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Are we actually post-pandemic, or is this a plan of action when that time comes? Cutting outdoor spaces, or surcharging them at this point would be harmful. Cutting vital services, inclusing rental assistance, eviction moratoriums, etc. too early would be a disaster. I’m curious as to what this will be about, and hope it isn’t “tough love”. Two words…..DELTA VARIANT.
enough with the art grants……..just clean up the city and increase the police budget.
How about just cleaning up the city. Look at the trashed utility boxes next to Pump, the broken and raised stone surface around the street trees, the filthy and broken up rainbow crosswalks, the splotched red paint on the gutters, the trashed light poles (stickers, tagging, graffiti), the trashed silver street seating benches (in front of Tender Greens for one), the lights on the median flags broken.
The Woke City Council doesn’t care about residents. They are wrapped up in their endless Woke claptrap. City is a mess.
How about a “Clean-Up The City Advisory Board”?
That should be number one. Cleanliness is supposedly next to godliness and the city is a 1.9 sq. mile trash heap including but not limited to all the examples Kip Thompson mentioned. How about the city partnering with neighborhood property clean up crews in plain old soap & water, push brook techniques. They worked forbear prior to the outlawed leaf blowers that leave bare hard scrape earth and blow the refuse somewhere else.
