In a response to an employment demand for job within hospitality sectors, the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will host an On-the-Spot Job Fair on Wednesday, September 22nd at 7626 Santa Monica Blvd. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Job Fair will have employers on hand to offer applications for immediate positions to be filled.
The hospitality industry has been the hardest hit during the COVID pandemic an economic recovery. Employees are not returning to previous positions in restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and hotels. In addition to positions needed to be filled such as servers, bartenders, housekeepers, front desk, cooks, and bussers, hotels are also seeking, security personnel, engineers, maintenance crews, concierges, and executive management positions.
Nick Rimedio, West Hollywood Chamber Chair stated, “West Hollywood’s workforce is 26% hospitality, and we are seeing an enormous challenge in securing employees in these critical positions in our businesses. We are excited to host this job fair to collectively call on the community, including their family and friends, to apply for these jobs.”
Several hotels and restaurants are Among the companies that will have recruiters onsite such as, The London West Hollywood, Sunset Marquis, 1 Hotel, Gelato Festival, Fiesta Cantina, Cabo, and Rosaline. Additionally, nightclub owner h.wood, representing Delilah, Nice Guy, Harriet’s, 40 Love, Bootsy Bellows and Peppermint Lounge, will be in attendance with many more companies signing up daily.
