The City of West Hollywood’s Arts Division staff is excited to share updates with our artist community as well as offer a free, private virtual Sound Bath provided by certified sound healer and artist – Roxie (https://www.roxiesoundhealing.com/). Relax into the healing sounds of Crystal Bowls, Symphonic Gong, Ocean Drum, and Koshi Chimes. Sound Healing is a meditative acoustic sound ‘concert’ that brings you to a state of deep relaxation. Join in the conversation and enjoy the meditation!
Roxie is a certified sound healer practitioner, artist, and abstract artist. She has been practicing meditation for 11 years and connects the transcendental power of meditation to her sound healing sessions and spiritual practice. She often includes art in her sessions and plays healing instruments that encourage free-flowing energy of love and a lightness of being from within. The crystal bowls are tuned to the notes of the seven chakras/energy centers. They are also tuned to 432 hertz, the vibrational frequency of nature. (This means it’s backed by science and mathematics. The tuning frequency was used in ancient Greece and by classical composers.) Roxie Sound Healing was named by Hollywood Reporter as L.A.’s Go-to for Virtual Sound Baths. Find her on Instagram at @roxiesoundhealing.
The Artists Roundtable is a gathering of arts organizations, individual artists, arts and creative businesses, and community members committed to West Hollywood’s artistic and cultural vitality. It offers a place for information sharing, networking, interactive presentations, and other special programming. The Roundtable is a direct outcome of WeHo Arts: The Plan, the City’s community-based cultural plan, and generally occurs three times a year (March, September, and December) and is free to participate. Individuals do not need to be a resident of West Hollywood to participate.
Join us from the comfort of your home on Thursday, September 30th at 3 PM for the WeHo Artists Roundtable via zoom. RSVP for this session here.
Looks like Roxie’s sound quackery was more of a flop than anything else ❗ 🤣 Now she’s coming at me with her sock puppet account “Cyborg” in an attempt to make fun of my name. Anyone from West Hollywood that’s been reading the WEHOville would know what Cy stands for in my case.
Hi Roxie, your endeavor sounds wonderful.
It would sound even better with a Medical Disclaimer that, “sound healing” does NOT substitute Professional Medical advice or consultations with Healthcare Professionals ❗

A DISCLAIMER IS ETHICALLY NEEDED HERE: “This product is NOT intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent ANY disease ❕ ” Unlike COVID-19 Vaccines that have been PROVEN safe & effective, this product (sound healing) has claims that have NOT been evaluated or supported by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Credible Medical ⚕ Science sources have consistently shown the claims of “sound healing” to be complete NONSENSE ❗ This is OK as Art/Entertainment but, NOT Medical Treatment.
Well said!
Sorry Cy, here you go again with advice that is off topic and misleading. The value of your insights, if we could call them insights, is virtually nil. Your resume resembles sausage making. Roxie does not make the claims that your analogy purports to illustrate. If you were an individual open to a higher consciousness rather than your aggressive babble, you might find that the result would be a behavioral adjustment which might leave you in a more harmonious state of being. The ancients were rather successful in their practices but that would be a great deal of information for… Read more »
No “Encyclopedia of Rants” needed to debunk “sound healing” when numerous Medical Science sources are readily available! 😀 NIH-funded research that examining vibroacoustic music and “sound healing” as a way to alleviate certain symptoms found NOTHING beyond relaxation and a placebo effect from positive expectations. The “higher consciousness” claim needs to be well defined and, shown in EEG studies.
Additionally Cy, some credible folks have actually verifiably functioned at a high level of health and balance without the intrusion by the medical industrial complex, medications and medical treatments with the exclusion of repair to broken bones. Doubtful you have any statistics on that other than a blanket response ascribing it to voodoo.
Some “credible folks” grow over 7 feet tall, but that’s NOT the norm. Most children will NOT survive to maturity or adults live much past 30 without Medical ⚕ intervention. MOST of today’s medications & medical treatments including setting compound fractures (the west used amputations into the 20th century when the East was cleaning & setting bones for over 1000+ years) are of Arab or Turkic origin. Medical Industrial Complex ❓ NO, I support Single Payer Universal Healthcare ❗
Unfortunately you appear to have been adopted by and well trained by the Medical Industrial Complex. Your reading comprehension did not grasp the brief comment excluding “broken bones” as there was no need to illuminate the origins. Your comment was offered to again assert your misguided superiority in friendly discussions. You are always right, according to Cy, even though very often you are wrong. Take a load off of your back. And yes, I do have heath insurance but I consider it to be catastrophic insurance and manage my own affairs according to TCM. The primary care physician assigned to… Read more »
Additionally Cy, about the “norm”. Evolved folks are definitely not the norm. You are speaking to the norm of sheep, and may immediately recognize them as kin, with all due respect to sheep. Southdowns are among my favorites.
NO people are NOT sheep because they DON’T fall for the snake oil sales person’s con job who claims to be a victim of Real Medical Science. Now be sure to get your vaccine 💉 , there is a deadly pandemic ☣ going on and, there is NO evidence that traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is at all effective for prevention or treatment of COVID-19. Additionally there is NO evidence that TCM is good for much of anything ❗
