A suspect has been arrested in the stabbing that occurred outside the Whole Foods in WeHo a week ago.
David Cook, 44, was taken into custody on Sunday. A tip from the public led LAPD officers to make the arrest.
West Hollywood Station Sheriff’s Department deputies detained the man at Beverly Boulevard and Martel Avenue.
Surveillance video showed the suspected stabber mere moments before the random attack at Santa Monica Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue.
According to the victim, he was leaving the Whole Foods store with a bag of sodas when the man randomly attacked him.
The victim has since been released from the hospital and is recovering at home, police said.

A County Fire was treating a person bleeding from his neck and arms. When deputies arrived LA County Fire and paramedics were already on scene treating the victim who was sitting on the ground bleeding profusely from his neck and upper torso.
The victim told deputies he had left a store and was going to walk home, holding a bag of sodas when the attack took place. The stabbing was unprovoked, and the victim did not know the suspect. The victim was rushed to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The victim remains at a local hospital.
The suspect is described as a male Black adult between 40-50 years old, his height is approx 6 feet tall and his weight is approx 180 pounds. It is believed he frequents the WeHo area and it is believed he uses public transportation.

If the facts are consistent with the story, YES it’s unacceptable and something needs to be done about it. BUT crime is worse elsewhere. Imagine a racially motivated shooter with a military style AR-15 assault rife killing 2 unarmed people and seriously wounding a Paramedic, then found NOT GUILTY in a court with a completely bias judge and jury ❓
Unarmed? The one guy Kyle shot had a handgun and was raising it to shoot him. The other swung a skateboard at his head while he was on the ground. I guess you listen to the woke media and twitter and did not see the video of him pulling his gun on Kyle. Joseph Rosenbaum was an adult who anally penetrated (with his own penis) little boys ages 9 to 11. He spent several years in prison for it. There were a number of other little boys who had also been violated by him. The “paramedic” is also a career criminal who had a gun illegally.
