Emerald Village offers an extensive and eclectic range of cannabis attractions, including culinary, wellness, entertainment, nightlife, art and personalized experiences. Current member organizations of Emerald Village West Hollywood include Alternative Herbal Health Services (AHHS), The Artist Tree, CALMA, LA Patients and Caregivers Group (LAPCG), MedMen, and Zen Healing Collective.
As a pothead I applaud organization in this industry. As a consumer I am disgusted that Sacramento is taxing legal pot to death. Most of the weed grown in CA is illegal which harms the environment, rural areas and honest taxpaying consumers. $30 of pot costs $50 after taxes. We have a massive budget surplus. Do something Governor Newsome.
Oh look, another article running a press release with no attribution as such. You can find this verbatim on the MedMen investors page.
Is it news? Yeah sure. Is this journalism? Nope.
I can’t wait for the next election I will for the first time donate my time to dispose of this ignorance

READ THIS CITY COUNCIL learn something that’s trending from a real Mayor
He’s a real gangster! El Chapo is taking notes.
It feels like residents are now picking up the tab for the industries’ many bribes over the years to the architect of this unwelcome rebrand John Duran
We did not vote for the pot industry to take over our community our city. You give an inch they take 10 miles only for their self interests that’s our city council.
Ms. McCourt has apparently arbitrarily positioned West Hollywood as “the capital of cannabis culture” and in doing so has dishonored the city. It’s one thing to have cannabis retailers and another to rebrand the city. Not a smart move and perhaps not a legal one.
Residents voted to legalize cannabis. When did residents weigh in on whether or not we wanted to market our tiny city to the world as THE destination for marijuana use? That’s a little nuts.
You are exactly right. 10 years ago there were 4 cannabis medical weed dispensaries now there are close to almost twenty places throughout the city including weed lounges and edibles stores, and even brought a suit before the state to have power over the city in overriding the contract licenses process to have autonomy and not having to follow city ordinance and be self regulated and operate with impunity!
