NEW RESTAURANTS: Hip burger joint called Uncool opening next door to Whole Foods

A new bar and burger joint from the owners of Bardonna and Tu Madre is opening next week in WeHo.

Uncool, formerly known as Uncool Burgers when it operated in Larchmont, will start cooking Feb. 21 at its new spot at 7881 Santa Monica Boulevard, in the same plaza as the Whole Foods on Fairfax and Santa Monica.

The restaurant will offer a full bar with fun fare like liquor-infused snowcones, alongside deluxe burgers like the so-called “Rolls Royce of Burgers,” which features a double wagyu patty, black truffle mayo and onion jam.

This place is very good and inexpensive. Their fried chicken sandwiches are outstanding. Previously had to drive all the way to Larchmont, so glad it is closer.

Isn’t this bar close to Fountain Day School?

Oh for goodness sakes, it is a restaurant with a bar, not a free-standing bar. Re-read the story. The children will not be affected. You want Whole Foods to stop selling alcohol too? /sarcasm

Possibly because it may be a “cash for keys” scenario to give a softer landing to the current residents than harsh Ellis from one of the city sponsored developers. 🙄 You can comment on Urbanize LA running same story.
