The L.A. Sheriff’s Department is investigating the burglary of about $25,000 worth of inventory at Georgiano Fine Jewelry and Watches in West Hollywood.
Security camera footage captured a male suspect break into the business through the front door using a crowbar at around 6 a.m. Sunday.
The store’s owners told Fox 11 that items such a personalized wedding ring were taken, and they complained about the Sheriff Department’s 18-minute response time.
If anyone recognizes the burglary suspect they can call the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station or “LA Crime Stoppers” by dialing 800-222-TIPS (8477), texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or online.

Clearly, you have received some misinformation regarding what goes on during a Sunday morning in West Hollywood while you’re sleeping in. In fact, I reported an incident that happened early Sunday morning several weeks ago. I decided to go to the station myself the following Monday, and they said they were extremely busy despite help from local volunteers. Why don’t you go volunteer and suggest some ways they can improve their response time?

That’s right, your fellow citizens volunteer to help make our community safer, creating a better relationship between law enforcement and the community. The ones that I saw were helping with admin work, such answering phones, but I know some volunteers do more than that. If LASD is such a joke, I’m sure they would love to hear your ideas as a volunteer. It might give you some insight into what is actually going on in this community.
The LASD with should be able to quickly respond to a jewelry burglary without volunteers.

Weho is known for the delayed responses by Sheriff deputies. Just another reason for the rise in crime here.
