Armed robbery forces Selling Sunset stars to rein in flashy wardrobes

Stars of Netflix’s Selling Sunset are forbidden from wearing expensive watches and jewelry after The Oppenheimer Group’s founder witnessed an armed robbery outside his office Thursday in West Hollywood.

“I told them not to wear jewelry or watches anymore,” Oppenheimer told TMZ. “We have to be diligent, you’ve got to look over your shoulder these days.”

Oppenheimer’s office is a couple of doors down from near the Sunset Plaza Equinox.

He said he is considering carrying a firearm and is seeking extra security from his landlord in the midst of a significant uptick in WeHo crime.

“It’s very concerning, this city is having a lot of issues right now,” he said.

District Attorney George Gascon, facing a potential recall election, recently pivoted from some of his soft-on-crime stances as Los Angeles County car thefts reached a 10-year high.

Publicity stunt

So, in the 90’s the City Council decides to turn a nice little Halloween gathering in Boys Town into “COMMUNITY EVENT”. Every radio station blare’s it out as “Their Event”. 10,00 people from outside the area converge to six block stretch of the boulevard, and realize that this is actually a very upscale area with a lot of middle to upper class people with nice homes and business’. Then we wonder why crime is increasing. Thirty years later we have all of these reality shows that over exaggerate how we really live. Guys with super expensive cars and Rolex watches… Read more »

From the blind item page:
“238. ENTERTAINMENT LAWYER 03/19 **3**
The whole robbery thing is just a big stunt for the streaming real estate reality show. “Selling Sunset” (Selling Sunset’s Jason Oppenheim to Beef Up Security at Office After Armed Robbery in Parking Lot)”

I just watched the interview on TMZ.
He did NOT witness the robbery.
The victim was someone leaving a restaurant at Sunset Plaza.
He never used the word FORCED or FORBIDDEN.
We don’t need Wehoville to be TMZ.
Please calm down with the over the top sensationalism and click bait.

“District Attorney George Gascon”
VOTED IN by the lunatic Far Left that rules the entire Democratic Party in 2022 (while pretending to be the Democrat Party of the 80s)
But, hey, we have painted crosswalks for those that can’t breath (or pay taxes) without a label and a badge of some kind.

This seems like a publicity stunt. Having never heard anything positive about this group, take a look at their Yelp reviews and make up your own mind.

I could care less about their yelp reviews regarding their business. Their fear and safety concerns are shared by many residents of our city due to the rise in crime and the policies that perpetuated it.

Seems very odd there were no details or mention of a police report or visit. Info delivered via TMZ.

The crime had nothing to do with him. TMZ chased him down because he has a TV show and his office is nearby.

Not to belabor this however the article reported an armed robbery which Oppenheimer “claimed” he witnessed. Incomplete info in the article. TMZ is not a news source for me but since the overarching issue is concern for unfettered crime in the city and a business owners suggesting they will consider carrying a fire arm, it behooves us to get the facts straight with witnesses, news sources and residents.

Y[all need to write or call in for the City Council meeting tomorrow, those idiots on the Public Safety Commission voted to defund LASD-WeHo by $3,200,000 and City Council needs to tell them to pound sand. It’s agenda item 4C.

Car thefts have reached a 10-year high? Gascon couldn’t care less about car thefts. Murders and gun violence have reached a 15-year high because of his policies. Much of that gun violence happens during armed robberies on our streets. Of course, Gascon doesn’t care about those crimes either, but those are the alarming stats we should be discussing.

After he destroyed San Francisco with his failed policies the people of Los Angeles were stupid enough to embrace them. I mean…how dumb was that?! Did they actually think they were going to get different results with the same policies?

His policies weren’t failures, they’re successes. He accomplished exactly what he set out to do.

Even San Francisco’s Mayor and City Attorney took the unusual step of endorsing his competitor, former DA Jackie Lacey in the last election. Yeah, he did as good in SF as he is doing in LA. 🙄
