03/07/2022 @ 2325. A man pointed a knife at his ex-boyfriend during an argument that took place inside the victim’s residence. #01373

03/07/2022 @ 1350. An unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from a 2007 Toyota Prius that was parked in the sub parking garage. #01367

03/08/2022 @ 0300. Two women and a man pried a door open to gain access to the sub parking garage and then went to the building mailroom. The suspects removed all the unsecured packages from the mailroom and walked out the front door. #01384

03/09/2022 @ 0157. A man pried the front door open to gain access to the lobby area and then attempted to pry resident mailboxes open but was unsuccessful. #01404

1100 block Detroit Street
03/09/2022 @ 0205. A man removed a window screen to gain entry and removed a cell phone, charging cables, and a watch from the kitchen. The victim heard the suspect inside the residence and confronted him in the kitchen. The suspect ran from the house and fled the area on foot. #01395

03/09/2022 @ 0230. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a suitcase containing clothing, speakers, musical equipment, and a watch from the interior. #01411

03/10/2022 @ 0800-1700. An unknown suspect removed $4700 cash from a purse that was left momentarily unattended on a chair inside the business. #01441

8400 block Sunset Blvd
03/10/2022 @ 1833. A man was walking on the sidewalk when he passed his neighbor and they began to argue. A struggle ensued, during which the suspect hit the victim with a metal walking cane. The suspect picked up the victim’s cell phone cell and failed to return it. #01439

03/11/2022 @ 1750. An unknown suspect removed a bicycle that was left unsecured on the side of the building. #01454

March 12th

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon
1100 block La Brea Avenue
03/12/2022 @ 1430. A woman threw a metal sunscreen can at the victim during a road rage incident. The can struck the victim on the side of her head. #01473

8900 block Santa Monica Blvd
03/12/2022 @ 1950. A man was being escorted from the club for stealing food when he struck a security guard in the face with a glass plate. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #01478

03/13/2022 @ 0122. A man hit a woman in the face with a wine glass after she bumped into him. The victim suffered a cut that required stitches. #01486

03/13/2022 @ 0140. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the bar top after it was left momentarily unattended. #01499

Other Burglary
500 block Robertson Blvd
03/12/2022 @ 2100-0700. A man gained access to the interior of the store and damaged several pieces of equipment. The suspect also removed food items from display areas and ate them. No sign of forced entry. #01488

You can see the homeless walking the neighborhoods after mid-nite wearing latex gloves looking for cars with no blinking alarm light. I have caught them several times. One guy in particularly is always dressed in black with a black knit cap…white or hispanic with black backpack.
