Mark Yom HaShoah Holocaust Remembrance Day on April 27

The City of West Hollywood will host a virtual Yom HaShoah Holocaust Remembrance Day: Remembering Victims of the Holocaust. Yom HaShoah is an opportunity to remember victims of the Holocaust and to focus on preventing genocides and other human atrocities from happening again.

This year’s Yom HaShoah Holocaust Remembrance Day Commemoration will take place on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 12 p.m. via Zoom and will feature a presentation and discussion by Svetlana Portnyansky. The program will feature a screening of Portnyansky’s documentary Theresienshtadt: The Resort, which delves into stories of personal survival and the power of the human spirit. A virtual candle lighting and a musical performance of Schindler’s List by Ludmila Adzhemova and Diana Volman will also be featured. Perhaps a publishing here of the poem Babi Yar since the Ukraine is once again the site of war’s atrocities.
