Ruth and I were close friends and neighbors for over 30 years. We chatted everyday. When I look out and see her building – right behind mine, the sadness sets in. I miss her terribly and hope she is in place where she can see me saying I miss you.

Ruth’s legendary contributions to the City of West Hollywood from well before cityhood, through incorporation, and right up to her well-voiced concerns in these last couple of months, will not soon be forgotten. Our gratitude for her tenacity, courage, and wise counsel and words should be forever etched into this city’s legacy. RIP to a true local hero.
