Sheriff busts suspects for stolen guns, meth in WeHo

#WeHo Tenants at an apartment building in the 8400 block of DeLongpre complained of multiple transients taking up illegal residency in storage rooms at location. Management completed a Letter of Agency form. Deputies from the COPPS Team & Entertainment Policing Team checked the location and arrested 3 people and recovered multiple rifles, stolen property and a large quantity of methamphetamine.  They were charged with the rifles, stolen property and possession for sales. The previous day, a stolen scooter was recovered at the location which had been stolen earlier in the month in West Hollywood.

I saw this happen at 8450 De Longpre Ave on the evening of June 30th. There were 5 Sheriff’s SUV’s there, and I saw them bring a Hispanic male, dressed only in blue basketball short, out in handcuffs and put him in a Sheriff’s SUV.

Jail is a revolving door for homeless. They were probably out within hours. Would love to hear the follow-up on this.

Even when folks live in a perceptible secure building, it often is not. Be sure not to allow unknown individuals to enter during your ingress or egress. Experience with a homeless person jumping out from the fire escape in front of a resident brought an effective COPPS Deputy who queried the Res Manager as to why he was leaving a garden access door open allowing this and pursuing a tenant with a notice for closing it. They are constantly canvassing garages and lockers throughout the city. We have to run them out weekly. This place is becoming intolerable.
