The corporation that owns Block by Block, West Hollywood’s secondary security force, has funneled nearly $50,000 in individual donations from company employees since 2016 to some of the country’s far-right politicians and political candidates.
Lindsey Horvath, Sepi Shyne, and John D’Amico voted to defund the Los Angeles County Sheriff to the tune of three million dollars and add those funds to expand Block by Block.
Block by Block’s parent company is Mydatt Services, a subsidiary of SMS Holdings Company, a 20-year-old corporation based in Nashville, Tennessee.
According to opensecrets.org, donations from SMS Holdings have landed in the campaign coffers of a litany of far-right figures, including former President, Donald Trump, Sen. Marsha Blackburn, Sen. Ted Cruz, Senate candidate Kelly Loeffler, as well as organizations such as the Republican National Committee and the Republican Party of Tennessee.
99 percent of all the company’s donations were for Republicans.
Records on opensecrets.org paint the picture of an organization firmly dedicated to conservative causes and the candidates who support them — a stark contrast to the fervent stance West Hollywood has officially taken on issues such as abortion and gay rights.

They hardly donated anything. Not the big bucks to keep the slimy West Hollywood City Council in office who owned by Woke nuts and developers. You need regular cops. Not some safety joke group to support the beliefs of political hacks like Lindsay “Streetwalker For Developers” Horvath or Shepi “Misendrist” Shyne.
I’m loosing faith in the stewardship of WEHO. The hybrid approach, of more community based patrols is good. Sinking that $$ to an organization, that funds radical Republicans who want to strip the rights of LGBTQIA+ Horrible.

Council doesn’t do their homework
Im glad to see that there are pro-life initiatives in West Hollywood. Nobody has a right to kill an innocent fetus. Lindsey Horvath and John Erickson and Sepi Shyne agree and support these Republicans, Donald Trump and the Pro-Life movement.
If one has the right to create an innocent fetus, the responsibilities should extend to its creators to make sure this fetus is welcomed into a situation that can give assurance of its care and well being.
When young men are also required by law to get vasectomies – or lose autonomy over their bodies, too – we can talk.
You hire the best person for the job. Period. If these guys suck, don’t hire them. If you needed a brain surgeon to save your life and found out the best one in the country voted for Trump, I doubt you would put his politics over his skill.
