August 22nd

Strong Arm Robbery (Attempt)
1000 block Palm Avenue
08/22/2022 @ 1045. A woman was getting a parking ticket when she attempted to pull the ticket scanner from the Parking Enforcement Officer’s hand. The suspect also pushed and tried to punch the victim. #05298

Armed Robbery (Estes)
7100 block Santa Monica Blvd
08/22/2022 @ 1945. A man removed two bottles of alcohol from a display area and attempted to leave the store without payment. When an employee told the suspect to return the bottles, he pulled a knife from his pocket and waved it in the air. The suspect was allowed to leave. #05313

9000 block Sunset Blvd
08/25/2022 @ 2330-2335. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone, wallet case, passport, and $200 cash from the victim’s back pocket while inside the club. #05383

Residential Burglary (Suspect Arrested)
7900 block Fountain Avenue
08/25/2022 @ 1803. A man used an unlocked rear window to gain entry and walked around the residence while naked. The suspect damaged a statue and left the residence. The suspect was arrested by deputies for an unrelated indecent exposure case that occurred immediately after this incident. #05390

7100 block Santa Monica Blvd
08/25/2022 @ 2225. While two men were fighting and rolling on the ground, the suspect took the victim’s gold chain from his neck and then fled the area on foot. #05380

August 26th

Strong Arm Robbery
800 block Palm Avenue
08/26/2022 @ 0140. A man punched the victim several times on his face and reached into his front pocket and removed his wallet. #05385

Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested)
1000 block N La Brea Avenue
08/26/2022 @ 2300. The suspect ran into traffic and pulled a man from his bike as he was riding by. The suspect tried to ride the bike away but was taken into custody by deputies. #05403

August 27th

Grand Theft
600 block N Robertson Blvd
08/27/2022 @ 0108-0111. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s purse while inside the club. #05406

Armed Robbery
Santa Monica Blvd / Ogden Drive
08/27/2022 @ 0445. Two men were walking EB on the sidewalk when two men approached them while armed with handguns and demanded their property and they complied. #05410

8700 block Melrose Avenue
08/27/2022 @ 1730. A man was walking on the sidewalk when the suspect approached him from behind while armed with a handgun and demanded his Louie Vuitton bag and cell phone and he complied. #05423

August 28th

Aggravated Assault – Hands, Fist, Feet
8900 block Santa Monica Blvd
08/28/2022 @ 0110. The victim was waiting in line to buy pizza when a man approached him and tried to initiate conversation but the victim said he was not interested. The suspect became upset and punched the victim several times and threw him to the ground. #05429

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested)
Rugby Drive / Westbourne Drive
08/28/2022 @ 1400. The victim was walking WB on Rugby Drive when a man approached and began yelling profanities. The victim did not know who the suspect was and had never seen him before. The suspect continued making incoherent statements and pulled a metal tool from his pocket, raised it in the air, and tried to hit the victim on his head but missed. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #05439

Strong Arm Robbery
Santa Monica Blvd / San Vicente Blvd
08/28/2022 @ 0230. A man was walking WB on the sidewalk of Santa Monica Blvd when he was approached from behind by the suspect and punched on the back of his head. The victim fell to the ground and was placed in a choke hold by the suspect while four additional suspects removed property from his pockets. #05431
